DEPOSITION BEHAVIOR OF INDOOR AIRBORNE PARTICULATE MATTER ON HUMAN BODY SURFACES

چکیده
In this study, we investigated the deposition behavior of particles in air using a thermal manikin and silicon wafer as surface on which are deposited. As result, it was confirmed that particle velocity heated reduced compared to unheated manikin, due effect thermophoretic forces. The velocities obtained from experiments were with existing models human body, order trend experimental values generally consistent, confirming validity models.

Airborne Particulate Matter Density in Traditional Bakeries of Saveh, Central of Iran, in 2020
Introduction: High concentration of inhalable airborne particles can increase the risk of lung disease in exposed people. This study aimed to determine the respirable particulate matter (PM5) concentration in traditional bakeries of Saveh in 2020. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted among 25 bakeries where the samples were collected by cyclone and teflon...

Mutagenic activity of extractable organic matter (EOM), from airborne particles collected over winters in four towns of Czech Republic, was investigated by the means of Salmonella typhimurium indicator strains TA98 and YG1041 using the Ames plate incorporation assay. Mutagenicity of all tested samples showed significant dose-related increase in number of revertants per mg of EOM. The direct mut...
متن کاملEffect of outdoor airborne particulate matter on daily death counts.
To investigate the possible relationship between airborne particulate matter and mortality, we developed regression models of daily mortality counts using meteorological covariates and measures of outdoor PM10. Our analyses included data from Cook County, Illinois, and Salt Lake County, Utah. We found no evidence that particulate matter < or = 10 microns (PM10) contributes to excess mortality i...
متن کاملEcological effect of airborne particulate matter on plants
Atmospheric particulate matter is a mixture of diverse elements. Deposition of particulate matter to vegetated surfaces depends on the size distribution of these particles and, to a lesser extent, on the chemistry. Effects of particulate matter on vegetation may be associated with the reduction in light required for photosynthesis and an increase in leaf temperature due to changed surface optic...
